Topaz DeNoise For HDR

Have you ever noticed that there is a blaring difference between a regular photos noise and an HDR photos noise?  The tone mapping process compounds the noise in all of the original exposures in such a way that the noise starts to become a part of the detail in the image.  Topaz DeNoise does an excellent job of combating this HDR noise.

In this tutorial I will show you one of my favorite presets in Topaz DeNoise that helps cut down the HDR noise to a minimum.  I will also show you a sweet way to sharpen the image up.

Feel free to download the Topaz Preset and Sharpening Actions seen in this tutorial.

Blake, you mentioned a de-noise action to download. I couldn’t find any single action on your site, just a bundle of actions. Is the de-noise action a free action or paid and where can I find this on your site.

    Thanks

I just got done linking everything, if you go to the original Youtube post in the information on the video you will find three links, the link to Topaz DeNoise, the direct download link to the Actions and preset, and the original blog post link that also has the download link.

This link will also take you to the direct download as well.

Hi, I understand the 3 exposures, tripod, Photmatix and then going to Topaz. Good on all that, and good on Denoise.

Not so sure on your steps after that with high pass, blur, unsharp mask,,,,,, Do you have those written down someplace I can put next to my computer?

    Thank you

No problem at all. Actually, if you select that link directly above the video, it will download the Actions that I created for this tutorial. No need to write it down! Download the Actions, double click the .atn file and it will bring you into Photoshop and you can simply press play and watch the whole thing unfold!

Hi Blake, if I understood correct you applied sharpen twice once with the unsharp mask and second with the high pass, is it ok? It looks great.

That is correct! Believe it or not it does look odd, but it works well.
