Photoshop Tutorial: Nondestructive Retouching

One thing I have learned over the last couple of years is how important it is to retouch my images in nondestructive ways.  I used to do my level adjustments from the menu bar on the top of the screen, I used to use the blur and clone stamp tools on the layer I was editing, and I actually used to use Auto Color Balance!!! During all that I thought I was actually making great photos, but in reality I was destroying great photos.  I have learned many ways to edit images in nondestructive ways, and the video shares many of them with you.  The great thing about non-destructive editing is you can always go back and fix things later, which is awesome if you are anything like me and are constantly learning new tricks!

Awesome that i what I like to hear! Non-destructive editing takes a little getting used to, but it is so helpful when you learn something knew and can easily open your favorite images knowing you haven’t destroyed them the last time you edited them!
