More Snow Pics

The snow is almost melted from the storm we had about 2 weeks ago.  It is bittersweet, a fresh snowfall is absolutely gorgeous, but the after effects, especially what it looks like now, is the exact opposite!  I am glad I still have these pictures to edit though as they remind me of the beauty in that first snowfall!

I was playing around with that Grayscale Dodge and Burn Technique I showed last week.  I really do love that technique, it has to be the best way to see the depth in your dodging and burning as you work through it.  I was working on the color image and realized just how much more powerful it was in grayscale.  So I kept it that way.

Have you tried using the Grayscale Dodge and Burn technique yet?

Absolutely beautiful, Blake! I love the reflection in the water and the clean, peaceful feel of a snow-covered landscape!

Thanks Toad! I couldn’t resist going out that afternoon, nothing like the fresh untouched look of a snow covered landscape!
